Paint Quality
or
"Is that colored water?"

Before: $199. Need I say more? As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so here's roughly 5000 words describing the quality of Earl Schmuck paint after 5 years.

Bubbling and peeling:

After: Nice smooooooth paint. As smooth as an orange peel. :) I can live with orange peel, as long as it doesn't *really* peel. :) The new paint has a bit of metallic to it, and looks very nice in bright sunshine. Too bad we don't get much bright sunshine here in the Pacific Northwest...

Before: More bubbling and peeling (not to mention a tiny bit of overspray on the chrome). The color that is showing through is the color that came from the factory, looking exactly like the day it went to Earl Schmuck's. Very, very badly oxidized, but not peeling. :0(

More Before: Brace yourself...

Yet More Before: And a better (worse? Definitely worse...) shot below:

The most telling shot of all. Ugh. I can't say anything else about the paint, it's just so awful.

After: Ah. Paint that isn't peeling. As a bonus, it has a bit of a shine to it as well, especially when it isn't so dusty.

On to the brand new paint pictures!
